ECG Testing

At Langford Hall Medial Centre, Dr Rachel Finnegan and Dr Leandre Powys offer a range of medical services, including ECG Testing.

An electrocardiogram (EKG or ECG) is a test that is used to check for problems with the electrical activity of your heart. The results are shown as line tracings on papers. The spikes and dips are called waves.

A natural electrical system makes the heart muscle contract. This in turn, causes the blood to pump through the heart and into the rest of the body.

ECG testing can be used to:

  • Detect irregularities in this system and check the overall health of the heart.
If you think you might need an ECG or are concerned about your heart health, please book an appointment with Dr Rachel Finnegan or Dr Leandre Powys on 021 431 9971 or visit us at the clinic, Langford Hall Medical Centre, 12 Langford Row Off Infirmary Road, Cork.
